Dharma Into Action.

Dharma Into Action (DhIA) Foundation connects over 11 million U.S. residents with ties to the four major religions that originated in India (Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism) to encourage and support their engagement in social and civic service, education, and the arts in the U.S. and beyond.

Bringing the community together

DhIA brings together Dharmic American leaders, tech entrepreneurs, business executives and philanthropists collaborating to create an action-oriented foundation that addresses needs in the community, while embodying secular and inclusive core values.

Key Programs

Women of Dharma

We highlight the contributions of women leaders from South and East Asia in various disciplines, including business, health, law, policy, education, science, arts, journalism, sports, astronomy, mathematics, technology, and religious and Dharmic studies.

Students & Young Adults

We reach out to youth from Dharmic traditions on college campuses with a Pilot Mentorship program for college students with a focus on developing themes of Innovation, Ethics, and Leadership. We aim to expand offerings to other Universities in the DC metro area and other places nationally.

Meditation and Mindfulness

We focus on community-based needs for vulnerable populations - seniors, new immigrants, disabled (mental and physical), anxious students, victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, mental illness, families undergoing conflicts and separation, and other groups who are found to be in need of services.
